Typhoon 'Kujira' Forms Near the Philippines, Moving Northwest
The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that the 21st typhoon of the year, 'Kujira,' recently formed in the waters northwest of Manila, Philippines. Currently, the typhoon is moving northwest at a slow speed of 5 km/h.
The central pressure of Typhoon Kujira is 998 hPa, and maximum wind speeds are being recorded near its center. Because the typhoon is moving very slowly, its future path and development must be monitored closely.
An official from the Korea Meteorological Administration explained that weather conditions in the surrounding waters may change as the typhoon moves northwest. In particular, areas that fall within the typhoon's sphere of influence should prepare for strong winds and rain.
Currently, meteorological authorities are monitoring the typhoon's path in real time. While it is still uncertain whether it will directly affect South Korea, it is important to check for updates periodically to prevent potential damage.
