The Era of Carbon-Free Energy: What is 'CF100'?
Amidst ongoing international efforts to combat climate change, the term 'CF100' is gaining significant attention. It is a new standard that companies and nations around the world are focusing on for environmental protection and sustainable energy use.
CF100 stands for 'Carbon Free 100%.' Its official name is '24/7 CFE (Carbon Free Energy).' This concept goes beyond simple energy conservation, embodying a commitment to using only carbon-free energy sources 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
This concept includes not only renewable energy sources like solar and wind power, but all energy technologies that do not emit carbon. Therefore, companies aim to eliminate carbon generated during the production process by securing eco-friendly energy sources instead of fossil fuels.
South Korea is also keeping pace with this international trend to address the climate crisis. The Presidential Commission on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth is discussing various policies to achieve carbon neutrality, and standards like CF100 are expected to bring significant changes to the domestic industrial sector.
In conclusion, CF100 is becoming an essential choice for future generations. All eyes are on how our companies will adopt carbon-free energy and protect the environment moving forward.
