European Students Take Note of Korea's 'National Fitness 100': Tips for Summer Health Management?
As the full-scale summer heat begins, interest in health management is rising. Recently, the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation invited 40 graduate students majoring in sports management from Europe to introduce 'National Fitness 100,' Korea's advanced sports welfare model. This event served as a significant opportunity to showcase Korea's scientific fitness management system to the world.
'National Fitness 100' is a service that scientifically measures the public's physical fitness and provides customized exercise prescriptions. The students from Europe showed great interest in Korea's systematic approach and management methods utilizing Information and Communication Technology (ICT). They observed the fitness measurement process firsthand and learned how Korea's sports services help promote public health.
However, during the summer, managing dietary habits is just as important as exercise. As the weather gets hotter, many people frequently seek out ice cream or cold drinks. Experts warn that consuming too much cold food can cause a sharp decline in stomach and intestinal function. This is a major cause of symptoms such as indigestion, bloating, and diarrhea.
Particularly in summer, the body's immunity can easily weaken due to the large temperature difference between indoors and outdoors caused by air conditioning. Therefore, it is advisable to reduce cold food intake and consume warm foods appropriately to maintain internal body temperature. Additionally, combining this with proper exercise suited to one's fitness level is the best way to spend a healthy summer.
An official from the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation stated, "We hope more people will manage their health scientifically through programs like National Fitness 100." This summer, why not overcome the heat through proper eating habits and systematic exercise rather than excessive activity?
