Korea University of Technology and Education Ranks 1st in Employment Rate Among Four-Year Universities Nationwide
In the recent employment statistics survey for graduates of higher education institutions released by the Ministry of Education, the Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH) ranked first in employment rate among four-year universities nationwide. In this survey, KOREATECH achieved a high employment rate of 82.8%, proving its excellent educational achievements.
Not only the employment rate but also the retention rate, which indicates the qualitative level of employment, was found to be very high. The retention rate is an indicator that shows how long graduates remain in their jobs, serving as an important criterion for evaluating the practical competitiveness of university education.
Furthermore, KOREATECH recorded the highest competition rate among non-metropolitan national and private universities in the recent rolling admissions process. This demonstrates that many applicants and parents positively evaluate the university's high employment achievements and educational environment.
A university official explained that operating a practical, industry-centered curriculum that students can utilize immediately in the field led to these positive results. The university plans to continue providing various forms of support for students' successful entry into society.
These results serve as an example of how university education that emphasizes practical skills can be of great help to students amidst the current employment crisis. Attention is now focused on how these achievements by KOREATECH will influence the educational models of other universities in the future.
