Korea University of Technology and Education Conducts Safety Campaign at Metropolitan Subway Stations for Summer Vacation Season
Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH) conducted a joint safety campaign at major subway stations in the metropolitan area, which are frequented by many citizens, in time for the summer vacation season. This campaign was organized to raise safety awareness among citizens and prevent accidents as the number of people traveling during the vacation season increases.
In particular, the event drew attention by introducing a 'water dam,' a new piece of equipment designed to prevent flood and water damage. The water dam is a portable flood barrier measuring 40cm x 60cm that has the property of expanding immediately upon contact with water. This equipment is expected to be useful in disaster situations as it can block water paths quickly and effectively.
Officials who participated in the campaign provided safety guidelines to citizens and explained how to prepare for various disaster situations that may occur during the summer. They also received a positive response by providing opportunities for citizens to experience safety equipment firsthand.
Korea University of Technology and Education plans to continue its efforts to create a safe environment in cooperation with the local community. Through this campaign, the university hopes that it will serve as an opportunity for citizens to reflect on summer safety accidents and realize the importance of prevention.
