Korea Association of Health Promotion Signs MOU with Public Service Workers' Union for Health Promotion
The Korea Association of Health Promotion (KAHP) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the public service workers' union of state agencies and the National Police Agency to promote the health of its members. This agreement was established to systematically manage the health of public service workers and prevent diseases at an early stage.
The main purpose of the agreement is to provide members with opportunities for regular health check-ups and to share health-related information. In particular, it is expected to provide practical assistance to public service workers, for whom health management is crucial due to the nature of their work, by offering customized medical services.
In the medical field, the importance of early detection and prevention of diseases is being emphasized recently. In particular, diseases referred to as 'cancers of the circulatory system' require caution due to their rapid progression and high severity. These diseases are characterized by a high proportion of patients among young women in their 40s, so preventive education and screenings for related diseases will be strengthened through this agreement.
An official from the Korea Association of Health Promotion stated that through this agreement, the association will do its best to ensure that many workers can accurately understand their health status and continue to lead healthy working lives. The association plans to continue its activities for the promotion of public health by collaborating with various organizations in the future.
