President's Approval Rating Falls to 42%… Real Estate Policy Cited as Main Cause
According to a recent opinion poll released by Gallup Korea, the president's job approval rating has hit a record low of 42%. These results indicate that many citizens are concerned about the current direction of the government's policies.
Real estate policy has been identified as the primary cause of the decline in approval ratings. Analysts suggest that citizens, who had hoped for housing stability, have been disappointed by the recent state of the real estate market, which has negatively impacted the president's support.
In terms of party approval ratings, the Democratic Party of Korea recorded the highest at 39%, followed by the People Power Party at 25%. They were followed by the Rebuilding Korea Party at 4%, the New Reform Party at 3%, and the Progressive Party at 1%.
A notable point in this survey is the proportion of independent voters. The percentage of respondents who said they do not support any political party was 26%. This suggests that the public's concerns regarding the political sphere are deepening.
Experts believe that the results of this poll will serve as an important indicator for future policy decisions by the government and political circles. Attention is now focused on how the government will work to regain public trust.
