Korea University of Technology and Education Conducts Safety Campaign at Metropolitan Subway Stations for Summer Vacation Season
Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH) conducted a joint safety campaign at major subway stations in the metropolitan area to help citizens travel safely during the peak summer vacation season. This campaign was organized to prevent safety accidents that may occur during the vacation period when a large number of people are on the move.
Students and officials participating in the campaign inspected facilities within the stations and distributed promotional materials containing safety guidelines to citizens. In particular, they focused on raising public safety awareness by providing guidance on precautions for using escalators and emergency evacuation procedures.
Meanwhile, An Shin-il, Chairman of the Sejong Special Self-Governing City Council, recently met with delegations from the Gyeonggi Provincial Council and the Incheon Metropolitan Council to discuss regional cooperation measures. During the meeting, various opinions were exchanged regarding the safety of transportation networks connecting the metropolitan area and Sejong City, as well as regional development.
This campaign and the exchange between local governments are expected to contribute to creating an environment where citizens can use public transportation more safely and conveniently. KOREATECH plans to continue its activities to establish a safety culture in cooperation with the local community in the future.
