7 out of 10 doctors say, "The private practice market is difficult, but I still hope to open a clinic."
The results of a recent survey conducted on doctors in Korea have been released, drawing attention from the medical community. Seven out of 10 doctors who participated in the survey predicted that the future market for opening private practices would become more difficult than it is now.
Among doctors who have not yet opened their own practices, such as employed physicians and professors currently working in the medical field, approximately 70% indicated that they still hope to open a practice in the future. This shows that despite market uncertainties, many doctors remain highly interested in running their own clinics.
Experts analyze this phenomenon as a result of doctors preferring an independent clinical environment, even though changes in the medical landscape and intensified competition are expected. Furthermore, there are voices emphasizing that given the anticipated difficulties in the private practice market, thorough preparation and strategy are essential.
These survey results well reflect the current atmosphere of the Korean medical community. Attention is now focused on how the private practice market will change in the future and how prospective clinic owners will overcome these circumstances.
