Korea Tourism Organization Expands 'Barrier-Free Travel' Program for People with Disabilities

The Korea Tourism Organization is conducting a 'Barrier-Free Travel' program to help people with disabilities enjoy travel comfortably. This program was designed to allow people with disabilities and their families to visit major domestic tourist destinations without any mobility restrictions.

Participants will visit major cities such as Suwon and Gangneung to engage in various cultural experiences. In particular, this trip is highly anticipated as it includes time to taste the representative foods of each region.

In the Gangwon region, participants can taste Chodang soft tofu and dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken), while in the Jeolla region, they can experience Jeonju bibimbap and Sunchang gochujang. Additionally, the itinerary for the Gyeongsang region includes experiencing local specialties such as Andong jjimdak (braised spicy chicken) and Busan dwaeji gukbap (pork and rice soup).

Through this event, the Korea Tourism Organization aims to create an environment where everyone can enjoy travel without discrimination. Moving forward, the organization plans to continue expanding convenience facilities for tourists with disabilities and operating a variety of travel programs.
