The Busan Jung-gu Mental Health Welfare Center, operated by Tongmyong University, recently signed a business agreement with the Korea Seafarers Welfare & Employment Center. This agreement was established to protect the mental health of seafarers who may experience psychological difficulties while working at sea for extended periods.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to provide customized mental health services tailored to the needs of seafarers. In particular, they have decided to jointly operate various programs to care for the mental well-being of seafarers, including stress management, depression prevention, and counseling support.
The Busan Jung-gu Mental Health Welfare Center is an organization that has been dedicated to promoting mental health within the local community. Through this collaboration, it is expected that an environment will be created where seafarers, who live away from land, can more easily access professional psychological counseling.
