Yangpyeong Police Station Conducts Customized Crime Prevention Training for Military Personnel
Recently, the Yangpyeong Police Station in Gyeonggi-do conducted crime prevention training for military personnel in the region. This training was provided to 200 soldiers from the 2nd Rapid Response Division and was organized to prevent various crimes that may occur during military service.
The main topics of the training were phishing crimes, cyber gambling, and the prevention of sex crimes. With the recent increase in smartphone usage, military personnel are facing a higher risk of exposure to online crimes, so the training focused on practical response methods to prevent such incidents.
In particular, the police explained the issues by citing specific examples that soldiers might actually encounter. Through the training, the soldiers were able to reaffirm the dangers of these crimes and learned specific action guidelines on how to respond if they become victims.
An official from the Yangpyeong Police Station stated that they plan to continue various preventive activities in cooperation with military units to ensure that soldiers can safely complete their military service. It is expected that this training will be of great help to the soldiers in maintaining a safe life in the barracks.
