KOREATECH Students Spread Warmth Through Technology Volunteering in Vietnam
Students from the Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH) are launching a global educational volunteer program in Vietnam. This initiative was organized to utilize the students' technical expertise to provide practical assistance to local residents and to promote Korean culture.
The volunteer group plans to conduct various educational programs on-site. Notably, this activity includes a play newly adapted from the Cheongju Arirang. Through a performance combining mask dancing, traditional singing, and movement, the students aim to share the beauty of Korean traditional arts with the local community in Vietnam.
Beyond simply transferring technology, this program focuses on enhancing mutual understanding between the two countries through cultural exchange. The students intend to spend meaningful time communicating with local students through the performances and educational content they have prepared.
A KOREATECH official expressed hope that the students would use this overseas volunteer experience as an opportunity to develop their capabilities as global leaders and practice the value of sharing. The university intends to continue its active contributions to society both domestically and internationally through various social contribution activities.
