Volunteers in South Chungcheong Province Join Forces for a Cleaner Ocean
Recently, volunteers from the Cheonan, Seosan, and Taean regions of South Chungcheong Province set out for coastal cleanup activities to create a cleaner marine environment. This initiative was organized to raise environmental awareness within the local community and to help make our oceans more beautiful.
Volunteers gathered at the coastline near Taean to collect trash discarded in the sand and between rocks. They worked hard, focusing specifically on removing various types of marine debris, such as plastic bottles, vinyl, and abandoned fishing gear left behind by summer vacationers.
One volunteer who participated in the event shared their thoughts, saying, "I participated with a joyful heart, thinking that with just a little effort, we can protect the marine ecosystem." Local residents and volunteers plan to maintain a clean coastal environment through regular cleanup activities in the future.
This coastal cleanup activity served as an opportunity to strengthen regional harmony and reaffirm the importance of environmental protection. With the continued voluntary participation of many citizens, it is expected that efforts to protect our oceans will expand even further.
