Google to Provide Free 'AI Educator' Training for South Korean Teachers Starting in 2026
Google has announced a new program in collaboration with Seoul National University of Education to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) technology into South Korea's educational landscape. The project, titled the 'AI Educator Series,' aims to help Korean teachers utilize AI to conduct their classes more effectively.
This program is scheduled to be officially launched through the Google Learning Center platform starting in September 2026. Google plans to provide a systematic curriculum that enables Korean educators to easily understand AI technology and apply it to actual classroom instruction.
In particular, this curriculum will be developed to suit the Korean educational environment, and all content will be provided to Korean educators free of charge. Through this, it is expected that teachers will be able to strengthen the competencies required in the digital age and provide students with more creative learning experiences.
Through this partnership, Google and Seoul National University of Education have expressed their commitment to elevating the level of digital education in South Korea. The education sector views this program as a significant milestone that will lead the transformation of future education.
