Seoul Metropolitan Government Recruits 'Seoul Gardening Crew' to Work with Citizens
The Seoul Metropolitan Government has announced that it is recruiting for the 'Seoul Gardening Crew,' where citizens can directly tend to and manage gardens in public parks. This program was designed to allow citizens to care for nature within the city, learn the importance of environmental protection, and enjoy healthy leisure activities.
Selected participants will receive gardening training alongside experts. Afterward, they will visit parks regularly to participate directly in maintenance activities, such as watering flowers and trees and weeding. Anyone who loves plants can apply, and those without special skills can still receive guidance from experts.
Seoul City expects this activity to provide emotional stability to citizens and serve as an opportunity to make local neighborhood parks even more beautiful. Furthermore, it will be an opportunity to communicate with neighbors who share similar interests and enhance a sense of community within the local area.
Citizens who wish to participate can apply through the Seoul Public Service Reservation System. Participants will be provided with benefits such as volunteer hour recognition or support for activity supplies. We look forward to the interest and participation of those who wish to personally cultivate Seoul's green gardens.
