Cheongsong-gun Launches 'Hang the Taegeukgi' Campaign for the 79th Liberation Day
Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, announced that it will be conducting a 'Hang the Taegeukgi Campaign' ahead of the 79th Liberation Day to reflect on the spirit of patriotism. This event was organized to commemorate the significance of liberation and to boost the patriotism of local residents.
Cheongsong-gun is installing national flags along major roads and actively promoting the hanging of the Taegeukgi in every home and business. In addition, the county plans to encourage the hoisting of the Taegeukgi, focusing on public institutions and village halls, so that the entire local community can feel the atmosphere of Liberation Day.
Residents participating in this campaign will honor the spirit of the patriotic martyrs who dedicated themselves to liberation by hoisting the Taegeukgi at their homes. A county official stated that they hope this will serve as an opportunity to once again reflect on the historical significance of Liberation Day through the hoisting of the national flag.
In principle, the Taegeukgi should be hoisted from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Liberation Day. Through this campaign, Cheongsong-gun expects that residents will commemorate Liberation Day with a unified heart and promote harmony within the local community.
