Government to Invest 250 Billion Won in 'AI for All' Project… Supporting Consortiums of Three Major Telecom Companies
The government has allocated a total budget of 250 billion won for next year's 'AI for All' project. This initiative is a core project driven by the government to popularize artificial intelligence technology and foster related industries.
Part of this budget will be provided as operating expenses to three major consortiums, including Kakao, SK Telecom, and KT. Each consortium will receive 10 billion won in operating funds.
This support plan was recently confirmed by the Ministry of Science and ICT through the office of Representative Lee Jung-heon of the Democratic Party of Korea. The government aims to create an environment where domestic companies can focus more on the development of artificial intelligence technology through this support.
Much attention is focused on how this large-scale budget injection will enhance the competitiveness of domestic artificial intelligence technology and what changes it will bring to citizens, making it more convenient for them to use AI services in their daily lives.
