Government to Invest 360 Billion Won to Strengthen Essential Regional Medical Systems
The government is investing a large-scale budget to reduce regional medical disparities and strengthen essential medical systems. This policy aims to significantly reorganize the roles of regional responsible medical institutions, ensuring that citizens can receive necessary medical services stably, regardless of where they live.
The government has allocated a total budget of 360 billion won for this reorganization. This budget will be used to support institutions that provide essential medical services, such as emergency care and treatment for severe illnesses within regions, as well as to expand medical personnel and facilities.
Meanwhile, various discussions related to medical policy are continuing in the National Assembly. At a recent meeting, discussions focused on judicial risks in the medical field, such as safety issues regarding the introduction of specific drugs and the right of medical personnel to refuse treatment.
Many citizens are paying close attention to whether this policy change will practically help improve the quality of medical services nationwide and resolve the issue of regional medical imbalance. The government plans to continue improving the healthcare system by reflecting the voices of the medical field.
