South Korean women suffer from sleep deprivation and frequent awakenings: Smartwatch data analysis results
Samsung Electronics recently announced the results of an analysis of sleep data from 190,000 smartwatch users worldwide. According to this study, South Korean women sleep an average of about 25 minutes less than women in Western countries.
The analysis showed that South Korean women tend to wake up frequently during sleep, and their overall sleep quality is lower compared to other countries. Experts warn that this lack of sleep and poor sleep quality can have a negative impact on daily life.
In particular, for middle-aged women, sleep disorders caused by menopause are highly likely to lead to cardiovascular or metabolic diseases. Therefore, efforts to improve the sleep environment and get sufficient rest are essential to maintaining health.
This study demonstrates the importance of objectively checking and managing one's sleep status through smart devices. Experts recommend developing regular lifestyle habits to protect sleep health and consulting a specialist if sleep disorders persist.
