Yang Jae-saeng, Chairman of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recently participated in an economic mission to Mongolia to discuss local economic cooperation measures. This visit is interpreted as part of an effort to secure South Korea's key strategic materials and build new supply chains.
In particular, the government and businesses are considering plans to establish an 'economic security fleet' that can safely transport strategic materials in the event of war or emergency situations. The core tasks are to train professional personnel to board these vessels and to create a systematic management system.
Through this visit to Mongolia, the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry aims to lay the groundwork for South Korean companies to operate more stably overseas. Public-private cooperation to enhance the stability of the South Korean economy is expected to continue in the future.
