Namyangju City Hosts Health Education and Cultural Events for Local Residents
A meaningful event was recently held in Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do, to promote the health of local residents and foster harmony among neighbors. This event was organized by the Namyangju branch of the Korea Kidney Disabled Association to bring vitality to the local community.
One of the main programs of the event was health education. In particular, professional training on 'diabetic diets' and 'renal diets'—proper meal management methods—was provided for patients suffering from diabetes and kidney disease, as well as their families. Through this, participants were able to gain information on healthy eating habits that they can practice in their daily lives.
In addition, a variety of cultural and artistic performances were held for residents exhausted by the sweltering heat. The atmosphere of the venue was brightened by performances including saxophone playing by the residents themselves and exciting fusion traditional Korean music.
This event went beyond simply delivering information; it served as an opportunity for local residents to communicate with each other, spend an enjoyable time together, and strengthen their sense of community. Namyangju City plans to continue offering various programs for the health and happiness of its residents in the future.
