Korean Medical AI Technology Enters Japanese Market… Lung Nodule Diagnosis Software Approved
Lung nodule diagnosis software developed by the Korean medical artificial intelligence (AI) company 'Coreline Soft' has received official approval from Japanese health authorities. This marks the first time a CT-based lung nodule diagnostic support software developed by a Korean company has opened the door to the Japanese market.
The Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA), Japan's regulatory body for drugs and medical devices, determined that Coreline Soft's technology is effective in accurately analyzing and diagnosing lung diseases. With this approval, the software is set to be used in earnest at hospitals and medical sites across Japan to check patients' lung health.
Lung nodules can be an early symptom of lung cancer, making early detection crucial. The newly approved AI technology automatically analyzes CT images, helping medical staff locate and measure nodules more quickly and accurately. This is expected to improve the efficiency of medical personnel and provide better medical services to patients.
Starting with this entry into Japan, Coreline Soft plans to further expand its influence in the Asian market. As Korea's excellent medical AI technology gains global recognition, attention is focused on whether more Korean companies will be able to play an active role in the global medical market.
