Busan City Collaborates with Universities and Research Institutions to Establish Marine AI Materials Research Center
Busan City is building a new research facility to enhance the competitiveness of its future marine industry. The city announced on the 8th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Pukyong National University and the Korea Institute of Materials Science at the Pukyong National University headquarters to establish a 'Marine AI Materials Research Center.'
This agreement was formed to advance the relevant industry by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology into marine materials research. The three institutions have agreed to join forces to lead technological innovation in the marine sector and cultivate specialized talent.
Once the Marine AI Materials Research Center is established, it is expected that the combination of Busan's marine industry and advanced technology will secure new growth engines. In particular, the use of AI technology in the development of materials related to marine resources is expected to significantly increase research efficiency.
Starting with this agreement, Busan City plans to work closely with the relevant institutions to successfully operate the research center. There is growing interest in the positive changes this project will bring to the development of Busan's marine industry.
