Korea Housing & City Guarantee Corporation (HUG) Achieves Grade B in Management Evaluation… Only Public Enterprise to Rise Two Tiers
The Korea Housing & City Guarantee Corporation (HUG) has obtained a 'Grade B (Good)' in the 2025 public institution management evaluation. This result is two tiers higher than last year's evaluation, and it is drawing significant attention as HUG is the only public enterprise among those evaluated this year to record a two-tier rise.
The public institution management evaluation is a system through which the government annually inspects the operational performance and management efficiency of public enterprises and quasi-governmental organizations. HUG has been striving to improve its management systems and operate the organization efficiently, and these efforts have led to positive results in this evaluation.
In particular, HUG performs tasks closely related to the lives of the public, such as the Jeonse deposit return guarantee, which helps stabilize housing for ordinary citizens. Amid recent difficulties in the real estate market, enhancing organizational stability and providing necessary services to the public without interruption are analyzed as the primary reasons for this grade increase.
This achievement is considered a very unusual case in that the organization rose to Grade B from a low grade in a short period. This also serves as an indicator showing that HUG has strengthened its sense of responsibility as a public institution through internal management innovation and has actively responded to the changing market environment.
Regarding the evaluation results, a HUG official stated that they will continue to do their best to remain a public enterprise trusted by the people. Based on this achievement, HUG plans to more vigorously promote various projects aimed at stabilizing the housing market and improving public housing welfare.
