Korea University of Technology and Education Establishes ‘Chungnam-style Contract Department’… Guaranteed Employment Upon Admission
Korea University of Technology and Education recently announced that it will establish a ‘Chungnam-style Contract Department’ in cooperation with Chungcheongnam-do. This contract department was created to cultivate outstanding local talent and help students secure immediate employment at local companies upon graduation.
Students admitted to this department can receive tuition support from companies that have signed agreements with the university. In addition, students will complete a customized curriculum tailored to the companies during their studies and will enjoy the benefit of guaranteed employment at those companies upon graduation.
In particular, Professor Ha Jae-cheol, an expert in the field of security, will participate in this program to enhance its professional quality. Professor Ha is an expert who has been actively conducting research in cutting-edge security technology fields such as cryptographic hardware design, post-quantum cryptography (PQC), and trusted execution environments (TEE), and is expected to provide high-level, practical education to students.
This ‘Chungnam-style Contract Department’ is expected to serve as a prime example of local universities, companies, and local governments working together to solve youth unemployment issues. Attention is now focused on whether such industry-academia cooperation models will expand in the future, allowing more students to obtain stable employment opportunities.
