SK Telecom and Upstage Join Forces for AI Security Technology
As artificial intelligence (AI) technology has rapidly advanced recently, the importance of security has grown even further. In line with this trend, SK Telecom, a leading domestic telecommunications company, and AI specialist firm Upstage have joined hands to officially launch an 'Independent AI Cybersecurity Council.'
A total of 11 organizations, including universities and research institutions, have participated in this council. They plan to conduct joint research on technologies to prevent cyberattacks using AI and to create safer AI services. In particular, they intend to focus on developing technologies to analyze and respond to security vulnerabilities in AI models.
Meanwhile, the cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb is conducting unique marketing campaigns targeting students for the university festival season. By visiting major universities such as Kyung Hee University, the University of Seoul, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, they are hosting various prize events, including offering Bitcoin and popcorn to new subscribers.
The launch of this council is expected to serve as an opportunity to enhance the reliability of the domestic AI industry. Experts emphasize that as AI technology becomes more deeply integrated into our daily lives, security collaborations and the creation of safe technological environments like this will be more important than ever.
