President Lee Jae-myung's approval rating falls to 38%... lowest since taking office
According to a recent public opinion poll released by Gallup Korea, President Lee Jae-myung's approval rating for state affairs has recorded 38%. This is a 2 percentage point drop from last week and the lowest approval rating since President Lee took office.
In this survey, 51% of respondents negatively evaluated the President's management of state affairs. Real estate policy and personnel issues were cited as the main reasons for the negative assessment.
Notably, the approval rating among those in their 40s saw a significant drop of 10 percentage points compared to last week. Experts analyze that public concerns over the economic situation and government policies have influenced the decline in approval ratings.
The Presidential Office is taking the results of this poll seriously. There are suggestions that policy changes are needed to revive the people's livelihood and economy and to more actively reflect the voices of the public.
As the approval rating for state affairs hits a record low, public attention is focused on how the government will find a breakthrough in managing state affairs in the future.
