Yeongdeungpo-gu to Conduct Joint '2026 Ulchi Exercise' with Civil, Government, Military, and Police Forces for 4 Days Starting the 18th
Seoul's Yeongdeungpo-gu announced that it will conduct the '2026 Ulchi Exercise' for four days from the 18th to the 21st. This training is a national crisis management exercise in which civilians, government offices, military units, and the police participate together to prepare for national emergencies.
The purpose of the Ulchi Exercise is to enhance response capabilities to protect the lives and safety of citizens in the event of national disasters such as war or terrorism. During this training period, major institutions, including the Yeongdeungpo-gu Office, will inspect response procedures based on various scenarios assuming actual situations.
The training period will include emergency assembly drills, tabletop exercises assuming wartime situations, and evacuation drills with actual resident participation. In particular, this exercise focuses on establishing a more practical response system by reflecting the recently changing security environment.
A Yeongdeungpo-gu official explained that this exercise is an important process for strengthening national security and protecting the safety of the local community. They also requested the understanding and active cooperation of residents, as traffic control or noise may occur in some areas during the training period.
Through this Ulchi Exercise, Yeongdeungpo-gu plans to further strengthen its emergency response capabilities and solidify the cooperation system between relevant agencies. It is recommended that residents check the evacuation guidelines and safety rules provided during the training period in advance.
