Results of Survey on Favorability and Unfavorability of Major South Korean Politicians Released
The results of a public opinion poll conducted by Gallup Korea regarding the favorability and unfavorability of major politicians have been released. This survey was carried out to identify the positive and negative perceptions that the public holds toward key figures currently active in South Korean politics.
According to the survey results, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon ranked first in the politician favorability category, confirming his public support. This indicates that the steps Mayor Oh has taken while managing city administration are being evaluated positively by voters.
On the other hand, in the unfavorability category, Representative Lee Jun-seok recorded the highest figure at 72%. He was followed by Cho Kuk, leader of the Rebuilding Korea Party, and Jang Dong-hyuk, a Supreme Council member of the People Power Party, both at 68%; Jung Chung-rae, a Democratic Party of Korea lawmaker, at 66%; and Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, at 64%.
This survey is significant in that it provides a numerical representation of the public's objective assessment of specific politicians. It is expected that the political sphere will grasp these public opinion trends and refer to them for future state administration and party activities.
Favorability and unfavorability toward politicians can change over time. Attention is focused on how upcoming political events and policy changes will influence this landscape of public opinion.
