9 South Koreans Missing in Nepal Floods: Emergency Relief Team Begins Intensive Search
Ten days have passed since nine of our citizens went missing following the massive floods in Nepal. To confirm the status of the missing individuals, the Republic of Korea's Disaster Relief Team has begun full-scale search operations.
The relief team is narrowing the search area, focusing on routes where the missing persons are likely to have sought refuge. Due to the rugged terrain and the scale of the damage, the team is conducting both aerial searches via helicopter and ground searches on foot simultaneously.
A government official stated that they are working in close cooperation with local Nepalese authorities to determine the location of the missing persons. They also emphasized that they will continue the search operations as quickly as possible while ensuring the safety of the rescue workers.
Although ten days have passed since the accident, families and the public are desperately hoping for the safe return of the missing. The government will continue to monitor the search situation and provide all necessary support without hesitation.
