Preventing Fires with AI Technology: 'The Keeper' Unveils New Safety System
Amid growing interest in fire prevention in Korean society, new fire detection technology utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) is gaining attention. 'The Keeper,' a company specializing in safety, plans to participate in the AI Special Zone of the 'FIRE TECH KOREA 2026' exhibition to showcase its advanced technology.
The 'EV Keeper,' which will be introduced at this exhibition, is characterized by its use of existing CCTV footage. The AI analyzes the video in real-time to immediately identify smoke, flames, and unusual situations. This is highly efficient as the machine detects risks on its own without the need for a person to manually monitor the screens.
When a dangerous situation is detected, the system immediately sends an alert to the administrator. Through the control system, the administrator can quickly grasp the situation on-site and take action. This is expected to be particularly helpful in preventing accidents where early suppression is critical, such as electric vehicle (EV) fires, which have recently become a significant issue.
Experts expect that the introduction of such AI technology will significantly reduce casualties and property damage caused by fires. The Keeper stated its plans to continue strengthening Korea's safety systems through advanced technology and to contribute to creating a safer society.
