Incheon Port Launches 'Anti-Drone System' to Counter Drone Threats
Incheon Port Authority announced that it has begun full-scale operation of an 'anti-drone system' to strengthen security at Incheon Port. This measure was taken in response to the growing security threats posed by drones, such as illegal filming and unauthorized facility access.
The newly established system is equipped with the capability to detect and identify drones around Incheon Port in real time. If an unauthorized drone approaches port facilities, equipment designed to neutralize it will be activated immediately.
Furthermore, all equipment is connected to an integrated control system, allowing port security personnel to efficiently manage situations from a single location. Through this, Incheon Port has established a safer and more systematic security environment.
An official from the Incheon Port Authority explained that the introduction of this system allows for more thorough protection of Incheon Port, which is a critical national facility. The authority plans to continue strengthening smart port security by leveraging technology.
