Binggrae Public Welfare Foundation Expands Scholarship Program for Descendants of Independence Activists and National Meritorious Persons
The Binggrae Public Welfare Foundation recently announced that it is expanding its scholarship program to assist the descendants of independence activists and national meritorious persons. Through this initiative, the foundation plans to award a total of 150 million KRW in scholarships to 94 students.
This scholarship support was established to help descendants of meritorious persons who are facing financial difficulties focus on their studies. The foundation stated that it intends to honor the spirit of those who dedicated themselves to our society and will spare no effort in supporting their descendants so they can grow into the leaders of the future.
Since 2018, the Binggrae Public Welfare Foundation has consistently carried out support activities for the descendants of independence activists. To date, it has fulfilled its social responsibility by awarding approximately 720 million KRW in scholarships to a total of 509 descendants.
Moving forward, the foundation plans to continue various sponsorship activities to ensure that the contributions of those who sacrificed for the nation are remembered and that their families can live with a sense of pride. It is expected that this scholarship support will provide great strength to many students.
