IWPG World Women's Peace Conference Concludes… 'Global Peace Recommendation' Announced
The 'World Women's Peace Conference,' hosted by the International Women's Peace Group (IWPG), recently concluded successfully. The event brought together women leaders and peace activists from 46 countries around the world to discuss practical measures for global peace.
The key achievement of this conference was the announcement of the 'Global Peace Recommendation.' This recommendation contains specific action guidelines on the role women should play in resolving conflicts between nations and preventing war.
Participants shared the situations in their respective countries and emphasized the importance of peace education. In particular, they engaged in in-depth discussions on what kind of education is needed in schools and local communities to pass on the value of peace to future generations.
The conference was particularly meaningful as it was held in South Korea. South Korean peace activists reaffirmed their commitment to working in solidarity with women from around the world to establish peace not only on the Korean Peninsula but across the globe.
IWPG stated that it plans to continue spreading a culture of peace by cooperating with governments around the world based on this recommendation. It is expected that this event will serve as an important opportunity to deliver a message of peace to the entire world.
