CJ Logistics to Observe 'Parcel Delivery Day Off' from August 14-15
CJ Logistics, the nation's largest parcel delivery company, has designated August 14 and 15 as a 'Parcel Delivery Day Off.' Following this decision, approximately 20,000 CJ Logistics delivery drivers nationwide will take a collective break.
'Parcel Delivery Day Off' is a system introduced to ensure the health and rest of delivery drivers. There have been many concerns that the workload of drivers has increased due to the recent surge in parcel volume, and it is expected that this break will allow drivers to have sufficient time to recharge.
Parcel delivery services will be temporarily suspended during this period. Therefore, consumers should be aware in advance that items shipped during this time may arrive later than usual. CJ Logistics has asked for customers' understanding regarding the delivery delays and stated that they will resume deliveries as quickly as possible once the break ends.
This measure is being evaluated as part of an effort to improve the treatment of drivers across the entire parcel delivery industry. Many citizens are watching with interest to see if the working environment for delivery drivers can continue to improve and become healthier in the future.
