South Korean Information Security Companies Expand Opportunities to Enter Global Markets
The Korea Information Security Industry Association (KISIA) has developed a new strategy to help domestic information security companies expand overseas. While domestic firms have primarily interacted with a limited number of organizations in the past, they now plan to collaborate with a broader range of international partners.
Under this new plan, domestic companies will be able to communicate directly with government agencies and international organizations around the world, as well as national Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) and regulatory bodies. They also plan to build networks with major global ICT companies to increase opportunities for technological cooperation.
KISIA expects these activities to be a significant help in enhancing the global competitiveness of domestic firms. Cooperation with various overseas institutions will serve as an opportunity to showcase the excellence of South Korean information security technology to the world.
Moving forward, KISIA intends to continue providing practical support so that domestic companies can grow steadily in overseas markets. Much attention is being focused on whether this change will lead to a new leap forward for the South Korean information security industry.
