Diverse cultural events held in Seoul to celebrate Hangeul Day
On October 9th, in celebration of Hangeul Day, various cultural events were held across Seoul to reflect on the importance of our language. These events went beyond simply commemorating Hangeul, providing an opportunity for citizens to communicate with each other through themes of diverse culture and health.
At the event venues, exhibitions promoting the excellence of Hangeul were held alongside interactive programs in which citizens could participate directly. In particular, foreign tourists also showed great interest in Korean culture by participating in Hangeul writing activities.
Furthermore, the event was made even more meaningful by including programs that considered the health of the citizens. Many people enjoyed the autumn weather while spending a significant time taking care of both their health and cultural enrichment.
One citizen who participated in the event shared their thoughts, saying, "It was a joy to spend a meaningful time with my family in celebration of Hangeul Day." The Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to continue organizing various cultural events that allow citizens to come together.
