Korea Tourism Organization Operates 'Barrier-Free Travel' Program for People with Disabilities
The Korea Tourism Organization is conducting a 'Barrier-Free Travel' program to help people with disabilities and their families enjoy travel comfortably. This event was planned to reduce the difficulties people with disabilities face when traveling and to create an environment where everyone can freely enjoy domestic travel.
This travel program focuses on major cities such as Suwon and Gangneung. Participants will visit famous tourist attractions in each region, primarily using locations where travel routes are well-paved and accessible. Through this, people with disabilities can fully experience the charm of these travel destinations without any inconvenience.
Experience with local signature foods, one of the joys of travel, is also included. Participants will have a great time tasting delicious local dishes, such as Gangwon-do's Chodang soft tofu and dakgalbi, Jeolla-do's Jeonju bibimbap and Sunchang gochujang, and Gyeongsang-do's Andong jjimdak and Busan dwaeji gukbap.
The Korea Tourism Organization plans to continue providing various forms of support so that more people with disabilities can easily enjoy domestic travel in the future. We hope this program will help create a culture in our society where the joy of travel is shared by everyone.
