Former Korea Public Tissue Bank President Kang Chung-hee Appointed as 11th Chairman of the National Health Insurance Service
The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced on the 17th that it has appointed Kang Chung-hee, former president of the Korea Public Tissue Bank, as the 11th chairman of the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS). This appointment was made in accordance with the procedures for selecting a new head of the NHIS.
New Chairman Kang Chung-hee is a physician who graduated from Yonsei University College of Medicine. He has previously gained experience in public institution management while serving as the president of the Korea Public Tissue Bank.
