Pohang City's Daei-dong Hosts Food Sharing Event for Neighbors in Need Ahead of Chuseok
A warm sharing event was held to help our neighbors in need ahead of the Chuseok holiday. On the 11th, the Daei-dong Administrative Welfare Center and the Daei-dong Community Security Council in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, carried out volunteer activities for marginalized neighbors in the region.
This event was held under the theme of 'Sharing Affection for Chuseok, Happy Food Sharing.' Volunteers personally delivered carefully prepared holiday food to 25 households in need within the community and checked on their well-being.
Officials who participated in the event expressed their hope that this small gesture would provide great strength to neighbors who might feel even lonelier during the holidays. This sharing initiative served as an opportunity to reaffirm the bond between neighbors and create a warm holiday atmosphere.
The Daei-dong Administrative Welfare Center plans to continue its efforts to identify and support neighbors in need within the local community. They intend to provide various welfare services to build a community where local residents help each other and stand together.
