Korea Health Industry Development Institute to Host 2026 Chungcheong Region Bio-Health Cybersecurity Competition
The Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) announced that it will host a 'Cybersecurity Competition' in 2026 to promote the development of the bio-health industry in the Chungcheong region. This event was organized to strengthen information security technology in the bio-health sector, which has recently grown in importance, and to cultivate talent in related fields.
This competition is open to bio-health companies, research institutes, and students majoring in related fields within the Chungcheong region. Participants will be tasked with solving various security threats that could occur in real-world bio-health data environments and proposing secure data management solutions.
A representative from the institute stated that they expect this competition to enhance the essential security capabilities required during the digital transformation of the bio-health industry. Furthermore, participants who achieve excellent results will be provided with various benefits, such as support for employment at related companies and opportunities for technical training.
Meanwhile, separate from this competition, a major environmental maintenance project will be carried out in the second half of the year, targeting 102 public facilities in the region. Starting in September, this project aims to provide a more pleasant environment for facility users through high-pressure cleaning and interior wall cleaning.
This competition and the environmental maintenance project are expected to serve as an important opportunity to promote the safety and development of the local community. Those interested can check the detailed schedule and participation methods through the official website of the Korea Health Industry Development Institute.
