National Health Insurance Service Invites Philippine Health Insurance Officials to Share Korea's Medical System
The National Health Insurance Service (NHIS), in cooperation with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), invited officials from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) to Korea. This training program was organized to share Korea's advanced health insurance system and operational experience with the Philippines.
The Philippine officials participating in the training learned about and experienced firsthand how Korea's health insurance system operates. They showed particular interest in Korea's efficient premium collection methods and medical service management systems.
This program is expected to serve as an important opportunity to strengthen health and medical cooperation between Korea and the Philippines. Both sides agreed to continue their exchanges and maintain a progressive relationship in the field of health insurance.
An official from the NHIS stated that they hope this training will provide practical help for the development of the Philippines' health insurance system. Korea's excellent health and medical system is contributing to raising the health standards of Asian countries.
