Seoul International Fireworks Festival to Use AI Network Management in Preparation for 1 Million Visitors
Approximately 1 million people are expected to gather for the 'Seoul International Fireworks Festival' to be held in Seoul this coming October. When a large number of people congregate in one place, communication traffic surges, which can make it difficult to connect mobile phones.
Accordingly, major domestic mobile carriers are stepping up to manage their communication networks using artificial intelligence (AI) technology to provide stable services during the festival. The AI plays a role in analyzing communication traffic in real-time to quickly identify congested areas and optimize communication quality.
Mobile carriers plan to install additional mobile base stations at the festival site and monitor the situation on-site 24 hours a day. They are also making thorough preparations, such as predicting data usage in densely populated areas and securing network capacity in advance.
These measures are intended to minimize potential communication disruptions that can occur during large-scale events and to ensure the safety of citizens. A representative from a mobile carrier stated that they will do their best to ensure that citizens can enjoy the festival safely and happily.
