Kia Labor and Management Reach Wage Agreement Without Strikes for 6th Consecutive Year
Kia's labor and management have reached a tentative agreement in the 2026 wage and collective bargaining negotiations. With this, Kia's labor and management have successfully concluded negotiations peacefully without a strike for the sixth consecutive year.
The agreement includes a monthly base salary increase of 100,000 won. Additionally, both sides have reached a consensus on the payment of performance bonuses based on business results.
The agreement between Kia's labor and management is being viewed positively as it ensures the maintenance of a stable production system amid the high uncertainty currently facing the automotive industry.
The results of these negotiations will be finalized following a vote by union members. Attention is now focused on whether Kia's labor and management, having achieved six consecutive years of strike-free settlements, can continue to maintain a stable labor-management relationship in the future.
