Korean Fintech Industry Holds National Assembly Seminar to Establish 'On-Chain Finance' Framework
The Korea Fintech Industry Association recently held a seminar at the National Assembly on the topic of 'on-chain finance.' This event was organized to discuss the development direction of financial services utilizing blockchain technology and to refine relevant institutional frameworks.
On-chain finance refers to all financial activities that take place on a blockchain network. Experts emphasized that as the digital asset market grows, the establishment of concrete legal standards and institutional frameworks is essential for consumer protection and industry development.
Meanwhile, Seoul Labs, a domestic blockchain fintech company, invited a delegation from the National University of Laos to engage in technical exchange. This exchange was part of an Official Development Assistance (ODA) project aimed at sharing Korea's advanced fintech technology and supporting Laos' digital transformation.
These seminars and technical exchanges are expected to play a significant role in helping Korea secure competitiveness in the global fintech market. The industry's attention is now focused on what policies the government and the National Assembly will implement to support the on-chain finance industry.
