Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) Strengthens Ship Finance Cooperation with Standard Chartered Bank Singapore
The Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) has joined forces with a global financial institution to revitalize the domestic ship finance market. KAMCO announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for cooperation between the two organizations at the Standard Chartered Bank headquarters in Singapore on August 24.
This agreement was established to support the international competitiveness of Korea's shipping industry. KAMCO and Standard Chartered Bank have agreed to share their expertise in the field of ship finance and jointly pursue related projects moving forward.
In particular, this collaboration is expected to be a significant help in creating an environment where Korean companies can more smoothly raise funds in overseas markets. A KAMCO official stated that through this MOU, they will prepare various support measures to ensure that domestic shipping companies can stably secure funds and grow.
