Pohang City Accelerates Efforts to Create a 'Complex Marine Leisure Tourism City'
Pohang City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, has begun full-scale preparations to be reborn as a world-class marine leisure tourism city. On the 6th, the city held a 'Strategic Report Meeting for the Creation of a Complex Marine Leisure Tourism City' at the city hall's medium conference room, presided over by Mayor Park Yong-sun.
At this report meeting, Pohang City unveiled a master plan that will transform the city's future and meticulously reviewed key implementation tasks. The city plans to expand various leisure facilities and programs that tourists can enjoy by utilizing the abundant marine resources Pohang possesses.
In addition, Pohang City is collaborating with external organizations to find new growth engines in the marine and fisheries sector. Recently, CNT Tech and the Korea Fisheries Association decided to join forces to foster marine and fisheries startups.
