Chungnam National University Becomes First National University to Deploy Next-Generation Wi-Fi 7 Across Entire Campus
Chungnam National University has become the first national university to establish a 'Wi-Fi 7' environment, the latest wireless network technology, across its entire campus. With this measure, students can now enjoy faster and more stable internet services in all learning spaces within the school, including libraries and classrooms.
Wi-Fi 7 is characterized by significantly faster data transmission speeds than the existing Wi-Fi 6, and it ensures that connections remain stable even when many people are connected simultaneously. The university stated that it pursued this infrastructure improvement to ensure that students face no inconvenience when attending online lectures or downloading large files.
Digital transformation is progressing rapidly in university education settings these days. This network upgrade at Chungnam National University is highly significant in that it has created an environment where students can learn more efficiently using smart devices.
Moving forward, Chungnam National University plans to actively introduce cutting-edge information and communication technology (ICT) to the campus to enhance students' learning convenience. It is expected that this Wi-Fi 7 deployment will have a positive impact on improving students' academic achievement and establishing a smart campus culture.
