President Lee Jae-myung Makes First Official Visit to Argentina in 22 Years
President Lee Jae-myung has arrived in Argentina for the final leg of his tour of the United States and three South American countries. On the afternoon of the 30th (local time), President Lee set foot in the capital of Argentina after concluding his visits to Brazil and Chile.
This visit holds great significance as it is the first official visit by a South Korean president in 22 years. Given that diplomatic exchanges between South Korea and Argentina have been relatively limited, this tour is expected to further strengthen cooperation between the two nations.
Throughout this tour, President Lee has met with leaders of each country to discuss economic cooperation and the development of diplomatic relations. In Argentina, he plans to meet with key officials to explore various economic cooperation measures, including in the resources and energy sectors.
This South American tour serves as an important opportunity to broaden South Korea's diplomatic horizons and strengthen global partnerships. President Lee is scheduled to conclude his tour with the Argentina itinerary before heading home.
